Who
Alyson Schaefer founded EBTC after 34 years of teaching within the traditional school walls. Retirement inspired the expansion of her educational impact to homes, communities, and schools all across the state of Wisconsin. Whether it be former students, family, or friends, Alyson remains inspired by those around her to keep shedding light on societal issues that are often left in the shadows.

EBTC is a highly custom educational advocate, providing services such as specialized training, focused workshops, and much more. This is applied through company trainings, school seminars, or community organization events. The EBTC podcast dives deeper into an unfiltered exploration of topics such as human trafficking, digital wellbeing, and mental fortitude.

Education Beyond The Classroom empowers people to confront the issues that threaten their safety and well‑being. We strive to be a trusted catalyst for change, equipping individuals with the knowledge and courage to protect themselves and the people they love.
More About Me
For over three decades, I taught by listening closely and showing up for my students in ways that helped them feel seen and heard. The notes they left me over the years—full of gratitude, honesty, and small moments of connection—are what still guide me today.
Retirement didn’t quiet my desire to support people; it simply opened new ways to do so. Whether I’m working with someone in person or hosting conversations on the EBTC podcast, I’m still driven by the same compassion and steady presence that shaped my teaching.
My hope is that students, companies, and collaborators feel welcomed, understood, and supported as we navigate a complicated world together.
